Hola! Happy Friday, I hope you had a lovely week. Well, I did. Recently I conducted a survey and one of the questions I asked, is that, what type of contents would you like to see on my blog and some of the replies I got are: life hacks, interview with teenagers, food contents, more of me(pictures and articles about me) and many more. Well, for now you won’t be able to see pictures of me on my blog( I really want to be my blog’s face and then my pictures at every corner of the blog) because you need a HD pictures for something like that and I really don’t have the facilities( a phone with a good camera or a digital camera) for that. So hopefully with time I’ll get to that stage. I’ve decided that I’ll work on the contents ideas you gave me.
Recently, I met this guy with an amazing voice who prefers to be anonymous. So I decided to have a chitchat with him.
Q: Can you please introduce yourself?
A: I'm Oke-Ewiri Nissi Jeffers. I was born and raised in Warri Delta State. My stage name is Niightslayer.
Q: How did you discover your talent.
A: Umm well, I've been singing since I was little. Actually heard I started singing before I started talking😂. I started singing and posting my songs at the age of 11. I just released my Debut EP in December.
Q: That’s pretty cool. So how do you feel when you sing ?
A: I've sang everyday for 10 years straight. It's become second nature to me. I sing when I'm cooking, cleaning. Heck. I even sing in my sleep. It feels amazing. It's how I let off stress and what-not and how I vent and rant.
Q: Hmmm Really nice. If you are not singing, what else do you do when you’re less busy or what else interests you?
A: Well, I draw. I draw anything that comes to my mind. I also learn different languages cuz I'm also a japanese voice actor.
Q: Who are the artists you admire in the music industry?
A: Burna boy, Davido, Oxlade, J.cole, Charlie puth and justin bieber. They've all influenced me one way or another. Khalid is one of them too.
Q: Alright. Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?
A: Probably being the face of afrobeat and a prominent singer. The name on everyone's lips.
Q: What’s your favorite quote:
A: Bruv, it's gotta be that I can do all things through christ who strengthens me. It's got me through a lot when I wanted to give up. I just want to make a difference. I want revolutionize the industry. We don't need dreads or tattoos or do drugs because we’re musicians. I want to be a role model for younger generations.
